Position Overview: We are seeking skilled Groundworkers and newbies who are dedicated and hardworking to join our team. The Groundworker will play a crucial role in supporting our tree removal operations by assisting tree climbers, operating equipment, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist tree climbers in the safe removal of trees by securing ropes, lowering branches, and directing tree movement.
• Operate machinery and equipment, such as chainsaws, wood chippers, and stump grinders, in a safe and efficient manner.
• Load and unload equipment and materials from trucks as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the proper disposal of debris and waste.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and coordination.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning and longevity.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the tree care or landscaping industry a plus.
• Knowledge of safe tree removal practices and techniques a plus.
• Ability to operate machinery and equipment safely and effectively.
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
